Our Project--Memory Meal 

"Memory Meal" is the theme of our major project this year. It is meant to coordinate with the theme of FCCLA at the Table.  "Memory Meal" is a project that focuses on the problem of isolation of the elderly. Our chapter has conducted its first "Memory Meal" by meeting with an elderly person who is identified as isolated. During our conversation with the senior citizen, we discovered what foods/meal that they had their fondest memories of. We then prepared and served the meal, sitting down to eat with them. We attempted to recreate the sense of joy that a family meal brings and the happy memories of eating together, as family.
